Isn't there a saying about that?
Like, "When life gives you lemons, make lemonade!"
What is the end of the sentence for...
"When life is crazy.... "
I'm sure there is one, but if you know it... do let me know. :o)

Because YES... our last month was CRAZY. And I mean, CRAZY.
I think if you named it, it probably happened (except, no, I'm not pregnant... I probably just would've caved in, and hybernated for the next months if that was the case... possibly surfacing by summertime if I was lucky. :o)
We actually made a list after it all happened....
Colds,
28 days of a sore throat for me,
congestion, running noses
ear infections
thrush
'water on the brain' scare
vomitting
diaharrea
allergic reactions
full body rash
spoiled Christmas plans
car accident
death
I will spare you all the details, but that list/description was pretty much our month in a nut-shell. :o) And it was NOT easy. Our parties were wonderful, most of our Christmas Day was wonderful (until my Grandma started slipping away, and Jensen started throwing up...), and seeing family was WONDERFUL. But I'm not gonna lie... it was HARD.
The Lord was good throughout it all... I almost didn't realize how crazy it was until we were on the tail end of it. He gave me so much strength, and the ability to carry a HEAVY load with joy and peace.... but man, when Jan 2nd hit me.. WOW. I was crumbling big time. By dinner time, I was standing in the kitchen, looking around, knowing I was supposed to be making dinner for my family, and serving them, but all I could do was wander upstairs, sit in the bathroom, and cry. Nathan, bless hi heart, found me and helped me. He's amazing. :o)
Since then, I've been coming out of it a bit. And with my Grandma's passing, we had an absolutely wonderful graveside service and funeral on Friday the 6th. It really was a celebration, and wonderful time to process, and be with each other. I was very much blessed and feel so thankful she is out of pain, has a resurrected body, and is with the Lord! I am at peace, because she is.
It's always weird to move on... even when you're ready, and even though you're kind of not ready. :o) But it's good.
In the meantime, life hasn't has slowed down as much as I hoped it would at this point... it's just still rolling right along! Whew! But I'm slowly getting my feet under me. :o)
But like Barb (my mother-in-law) told me... the year Nathan was born, and she had 3 kids, all close together... everything was just a blur.

However... I was so thankful for this week. There is something about the SNOW that makes everything else in life STOP. Things take on a certain level of peacefulness... and it seems to just wash your soul. Yeah! It really feels like a bath for my soul! :o) Never thought of it like that before... but I do so love the snow.

We had a wonderful week- snow most of the days, inches piled up, a bunch of freezing rain on top of that... all made for a lot of fun and beautiful pictures too! It was actually more fun to play with the kids on the first couple days... because after that it got so stormy and so deep! We went sledding, made snowmen, and just played.

This morning, I finally got outside with a camera that had a macro setting on it, and got some super fun pictures... LOVE IT. I could just stare out the window all day, or go for a walk and look at every tree and bush that is covered in ice. I know the power is out all over, and whatnot, but I can't help it... I LOVE nature. I see God's handiwork! And, when we were coming inside today, a HUGE branch broke off a big evergreen tree across the street, and the kids and I just stared at it with gaping mouths. :o) It was awesome. :o)
