Happy Birthday America!

Despite trying to do anything but recover- sometimes you just need to feel normal. :o) And a shower and make-up can make you feel like a million bucks when you're one week into a c-section recovery. So- what better occasion than the 4th???!

Nathan took the kiddos to watch the airshow from a vantage point up on the hill where the crowds weren't, but could still see the water... they LOVED IT. Oh, their little faces when they returned, and had so much to tell! :o)

And our other big event for the day was trying to get a family picture. You know, it's funny because it's one of those things you look back on and think, "Ugh! Look at how chubby and tired I look!" But, I guess the beauty of it is remember all our seasons of life, even the challenging ones. And apart from how stretching this is right now, WE LOVE HAVING THREE CHILDREN. There is this amazing satisfaction that has settled over Nathan and I... it's one of those things where you feel more complete, now that Greyson is here. Hard to explain, but it's just THERE. We love him so much. :o)

Jane and Jensen were very patriotic today, sporting their red, white and blue apparel all day, going to the air show with daddy, and waving their flags in the evening.

Jane and Jensen leaning over Greyson, and giggling at him. :o)

We sang Happy Birthday to America, and blew out the candles! This is my favorite part of the fourth... yellow cake with whip cream and berries on top... YUM. I think could eat all of it. :o)
