"Time flies" is an understatement. "Enjoy it while you can," feels sad. "Don't blink!" comes as a shock. But nothing, absolutely nothing, can prepare you for the way your heart feels as your own little child grows. If you could catch it in a time capsule - so as not to lose the way their her skin feels, her soft, fine hair, those little chubby cheeks, to remember exactly how her little giggle sounds, and the way she points her finger and looks at you with expectation.
But you can't. You can't freeze it. You can only soak up as much as you possibly can, in every moment of everyday. You can only be thankful for the gift of life that she is. You can only store every memory in your heart, and tell her as much as you are able, that you've loved every minute of it.
Someday she will understand- When she's in your shoes, loving her own baby as much as you've loved her.

I miss you Cailyn. I love how you and Nathan love your little girl and I pray to one day love my little babies the same way. Hugs and kisses from Italy!
