I think we counted it has been 4 years since we have made it over to Idaho...! How terrible! Our dear family friends, the Wrights and their 3 kids and families, have lived over there for about 15 years now, and my parents frequent there even more often now that they have purchased their property, about 4 years ago now too. Having kids of course makes traveling a little more challenging, but we finally coordinated a time to go, and what fun it was!
Jane and I at the Pick Quick drive-in... they are the best milk-shake makers in the world. We stopped on our way over to Idaho.

On the way back, we stopped in Ritzville, which has the cutest park and community pool with little water slides, that I have ever seen! We met my parents for a late dinner before the long drive home, and we happened to catch a fantastic sunset on the way home. Jane was trying to put a napkin in her ear...of course. :o)

None of us had kids the last time I was over, and now between the Wrights and us, we have 5 kids, and one on the way! (Not me..., but Brian and Rita have Thomas, and are pregnant with their 2nd, a little girl! Brett and Erin have Caleb and just had Collin who is about a month old now.)
Jane and Caleb, up way past bed time!

Jane and Thomas had lots of fun running around together...and Jane just kept trying to tickle him or kiss him. What goof ball! She had so much fun!

We had such a wonderful time seeing everyone, playing with the kids, enjoying the sunshine at the lake, and of course, the highlight, getting to spend some time at my parents property. It has a grass airstrip, so my dad can fly his plane back and forth, and a huge hangar that they have done a ton of work to. When their property and business sell here in Washington, they will build their home here on the property - they have 80 acres, and wheat and Kentucky blue grass is farmed on their property too. The property is about 30 minutes south of Couer 'd Alene.
This is the hangar, with their airstrip straight down the left of the picture and their property in the background. It was another gorgeous day. The name of their place is "Rock Creek Farm."

Inside the hangar... it's huge! Little kids would love riding bikes and trikes in there!

Jane playing in the wild daisies.

Jensen, hanging out on the airstrip. :o) Can't wait to go flying!

Grandpa and Jane, hanging out, chewing on some grass stalks. :o)

Family pict... their property runs right along the tree line. (Jane finally got on the tractor... she was scared at first. :o)

Wheelbarrow rides! First of many!

Our last day there, we took a little trip down to the lake, played around, had lunch, and went swimming. Jane was so brave! She just walked right into that water, and would've loved to have just kept on going, if only we didn't have to hold on to her still!
